I have to give credit where credit is due. Whoever thought up of this idea is a genius if you really think about it. Let’s take the average consumer and convince them that is it a great idea to do a job that we used to do for them! You go through your local grocery store picking up your favorite food items of the week. You notice that you do not have that many processed food fun, so you head to this glorious area known as the self checkout line. In this marvelous area, you get to play checkout clerk! You know…that hourly wage, high school job that you always wanted but never had. So you go up and wait in line at this fantastic source of personal fulfillment and realize that there are others…just like you…that want to partake in the joy of doing a job that you have zero experience in!

There you are…driving in a crowded parking lot. You aren’t looking for the closest space in the lot…just any space so that you can park and go about your business for the day. As you turn around the next mindless row of motor vehicle transportation, you see the rudest move a parking space participant can ever make…taking up more than one space. Are you serious? What makes these inconsiderate asses think they have the right to take up multiple spots in a crowded parking lot? Why do the lines that we live by not apply to these fortunate individuals? Is their car really that important that it needs multiple spots or are they just that lazy and inconsiderate? What makes this driver so special that they feel the need to break the rules that the rest of us live by? Thank you Mr. I Can’t Park My Car Correctly…you make me lose even more faith in the human race because you have absolutely no care for anything else in this world but yourself. (more…)

Ahhh…your local expert on everything. You know this individual very well. He honestly believes that no matter what room he is in…he is the smartest man in that room on everything. Have a subject that you think he can’t handle? Ha! He laughs in the face of your stupidity with completely wrong facts and figures that he is going to convince you are real and true. There is no subject on this Earth that he can’t handle. This self proclaimed expert has the arrogance and ego that only a man of his stature can possess. Only a man as great as he has the right to think this highly of himself. How dare you question is reasoning or thoughts? Don’t you realize that you are at the bottom of the totem pole? This man is so good that he doesn’t need experience, knowledge or a brain cell to be right…he is just blessed with all knowing knowledge about everything!

This situation blows my mind every time I am presented with such blatant rudeness out of an employee. This morning, I headed out to a Wal-Mart in Brevard, NC. I had to pick up a couple of simple things for my afternoon…2 gig SD card and some Energizer Lithium AAA batteries. Sounds easy right? This should be a simple, painless task no matter which Wal-Mart you visit in the continental United States…wrong! Why? Because the cashier that IS PAID to do her job decided that she didn’t really want to work this morning. It doesn’t matter that she being paid to be there and perform a service. She would rather continue blowing gigantic gum bubbles and pretend that you…the customer…is not even there!

Everyday I run into the same problem driver. It does not matter whether I am on the highway or some country back road, there is always a driver who can not seem to read simple speed limit signs. The DOT has made them as bright and as clear as possible, so why can’t these oblivious commuters of the road pay attention to them? It’s really not that hard! There are several types of the extreme time wasters that create annoying traffic jams in their persuit to kill all that is happy in the world…

1. 2 lane 45 mph zone – The lucky drivers across these great 45 mph, 2 lane roads have one real annoyance that pokes their head out on every drive. You will always run across one driver…backing up traffic…because they believe that the area is a 35 mph zone just because it is two lanes. They don’t bother actually reading the plain white sign on the side of the road that plainly states “SPEED LIMIT 45 MPH“. They instead…make an assumption that is completely wrong and go about their oblivious life believing they are in the right. The crazy part…they will do this over and over again on the same road without ever actually looking at the stupid speed limit sign. To make matters worse…they get irritated with other drivers riding their ass and passing when they are in fact in the wrong!

I was sitting with some friends outside of Wild Wing one night last year when I saw the infamous…I can find a closer spot driver. This guy…who obviously thought very highly of is Nissan 350Z…circled the parking lot over 14 times before finally settling in and parking his fine piece of automotive genius (j/k to all of you 350Z owners…its a cool car…just not quite “I need to take up multiple spots” cool). This is an example of a driver who just can’t stop until they find a parking spot closer to the front door. At least…in this instance…I can at least relate. We try to park close when we have the bikes racked to prevent theft, so maybe he just wanted to make sure that no one was going to scratch his precious baby.

The version of this driver that completely annoys me is the lazy driver. It’s that driver who just can’t stand walking 4 spots more to the front door. They hate it so much that they will waste 20 minutes of their day looking for this fabulous, perfect parking spot when they could have parked 5 spaces down and would have already been in the store! It cracks me up every time. Are you seriously that lazy that you can’t stand walking that much farther? Is it really that important to you to find a closer spot that you will waste 15 minutes to find something that saves you 30 seconds? (more…)

A new disease is sweeping the nation. As you look around the room, you may be able to see it spreading as you read. You might even be engaging in the spread of this virus as you read this post on your phone while others are breathing and interacting around you. This new disease that is sweeping America The World is the Phone Addiction.

What is the phone addiction? Do you have friends that would rather type away texting, emailing or web browsing instead of spending quality time with their friends  or family? Are you ignoring those around you to read this incredibly interesting post on daily annoyances on your phone totally unaware of what is going on around you? We all know one of these fantastic individuals who feel the need to convert the world to their one sided thinking on politics. Their infinite wisdom needs to be spread to each and every individual because then…just maybe…we will one day become a political genius just like this guy who has no absolutely zero political experience. But…as he will tell you…political experience is not needed, just a huge amount of overly important knowledge from his favorite website! Of course! That perfectly unbiased piece of literary perfection. I should have known! That is the one and only place to find the truth. This has to be my #1 most annoying thing right now. How the hell did a woman like this ever get even the chance to have this many children (14 total)??!! She couldn’t even afford the kids she already had! Now…she is spending our hard earned tax money that we slave day in and day out to pay to the government to fuel her insanity. I don’t need a job to take care of all of these kids…I’ll just beg and have the government pay for it! Fantastic idea! Take hard working people’s money!

You have probably already read all of the headlines and news stories about the request for donations and other madness surrounding this waste of space, leach on society, so I am not going to bore you with the details of events you already know. I am going to tell you the two reasons that this waste of a life annoys me the most which hasn’t been publicly announced as far as I can find. I, personally, sit here this late evening after a full day of medical charades and prodding.  To be quite honest, the morning and afternoon were full of medicated naps, pain numbing dope sessions, and a variety of prescription cocktails to help everything move along.  I must say, the day went by pretty quickly.  Unfortunately, I missed the link shuffling and conversation bibble-babble of a seemingly unpopular message board.
